Overview
The Salty Joy Experience
The art of levitating over water, made accessible to all through step-by-step teaching and high-volume equipment.
- Sensation of silent and smooth flight, without bumps
- Fast learning curve, very few violent crashes
- Compact equipment, easy to handle compared to kitesurfing
- Ultra-voluminous boards to ensure balance from minute 1
- No harness required at the beginning, feeling of total freedom
Why Dakhla?
The Dakhla lagoon is exceptional for wingfoiling because it is totally protected from the ocean swell. The water surface is mirror-smooth at high tide, making it extremely easy to learn balance on the foil. The moderate and steady wind allows you to take off effortlessly.

Mistakes to Avoid
The secret of our pedagogy: we anticipate your flaws even before you make them. Here is what we will correct together.
Mistake: Pulling the wing towards you instead of sheeting in
The wing works like an airplane wing. It must be exposed to the wind, not pulled to your chest. We correct your wrist posture.
Mistake: Putting weight on the back leg at takeoff
The foil naturally lifts the nose of the board. Overloading the back causes the foil to stall. You must shift your weight forward once in the air.
Mistake: Looking at your feet
This is fatal for balance! Look at the horizon or your target point, and your balance will adjust automatically.

Safety & Quality
Equipment and Safety
Your progress requires suitable equipment and a safe environment.
The Equipment
- Very wide voluminous boards (stability of a paddleboard).
- Foils with highly lifting front wings (1800cm² to 2000cm²) to take off at 10km/h.
- Light, stiff wings with ergonomic handles to prevent forearm fatigue.
Safety
- Reinforced wing leash and board leash (you never lose your gear)
- Helmet and impact vest mandatory (frequent falls around the foil at first)
- Deep water area without rocks to avoid hitting the bottom with the foil mast
- Rescue boat always nearby
Where do we ride?
Spots and Conditions
Dakhla is a paradise offering many spots for everyone.
The Spots
- 📍
The Lagoon: Flat water at high tide, ideal for initiation and first flights.
- 📍
Lassarga: For advanced wingfoilers, superb long gentle waves to ride upwind.
Typical Conditions
- ~
Since the foil has a 75 to 85 cm mast, it requires depth. Lessons take place according to the tide to ensure sufficient bottom clearance.
- ~
Wingfoiling requires less wind than kitesurfing (we can fly starting from 12-15 knots).
